About Us.

Who We Are

The Alliance for Healthy Communities (AHC) is a Rwandan non-governmental organization dedicated to addressing critical gaps in health systems, particularly focusing on the shortage of skilled healthcare workers in Sub-Saharan Africa. AHC tackles the root causes of these shortages through strategic capacity-building initiatives, evaluation, and with strategic partnership with governments and organizations working to address these challenges. By leveraging evidence-based approaches, AHC strengthens local healthcare infrastructure by providing clinical services, and providing vital health interventions. These efforts are complemented by continuous training and support for healthcare workers to enhance the quality of service delivery and ensure sustainable, community-driven solutions to pressing health challenges.

Our Mission

AHC strives to achieve a healthier and more equitable world, free of health disparities. Our interventions aim to build local capacity by giving health workforces and communities the tools they need to thrive and create sustainable change.

Our Vision

Our vision is a world where health workforces are empowered to sustainably and equitably improve the health and welfare of their communities.
